Katherine E. Bliss

Katherine E. Bliss, PhD, is a senior fellow with the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) Global Health Policy Center. Her recent work has examined the changing demographics of HIV/AIDS, public health emergency preparedness in Latin America, and immunization programs within fragile or disordered settings. A historian by training, she taught at the university level and published work on public health in 20th century Mexico before a Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellowship placed her at the U.S. Department of State, where she worked on environmental health and the challenge of pandemic influenza.
