Jonathan Quick, MD, MPH, is adjunct professor at the Duke University Global Health Institute, where he leads the Market-Driven Epidemics Initiative. His current research and advocacy focus on reducing preventable deaths from firearms, ultra-processed foods, and other consumer products. He is a former World Health Organization director and author of The End of Epidemics: The Looming Threat to Humanity and How to Stop It (St. Martin’s Press, 2018, and Scribe Publications, 2018).
