Y. Tony Yang is an endowed professor of health policy at George Washington University (GW), where he holds joint appointments in the School of Nursing and the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Milken Institute School of Public Health. He also leads the Cancer Control and Health Equity program at the GW Cancer Center. His research sits at the intersection of law, policy, and public health—specializing in vaccine law, health equity, and pandemic governance. Yang is the author of Achieving Health Equity: The Role of Law and Policy (Wiley, 2024) and coauthor of Vaccine Law and Policy (Springer, 2023). A globally recognized expert, Yang serves on the World Health Organization’s Technical Advisory Group on clinical and policy considerations for new tuberculosis vaccines. He is also coeditor in chief of Health Policy and Technology (Elsevier).
