Sheila Mburu

Sheila Mburu is a health advisor at the Tony Blair Institute of Global Health, where she works on programs supporting institutional capacity strengthening of the West African Health Organization and Africa CDC. She has over seven years of experience in international development, with a focus on global health. She has previously worked with UK funders of international development research, convening UK government cross-funder groups on health and Epidemics Preparedness and Control research during the COVID-19 pandemic and leading development of safeguarding guidance for the UK international development research sector. She also worked with WHO Rwanda supporting the Disease Prevention and Control team, with a focus on nutrition, and holds an MSc in global health nutrition from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
