Natalia V. Bhattacharjee

Natalia V. Bhattacharjee is a lead research scientist on the Forecasting Health System (FHS) Team at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington in Seattle. Her research revolves around the theme of leveraging both physics-based and data-driven approaches to build robust modeling frameworks for estimation and prediction using temporal and spatio-temporal data. She completed her Ph.D. in engineering and her secondary M.S. in Statistics from University of Georgia, USA, and integrated B.S. and M.S. in Engineering from Omsk State Technical University, Russia. She also worked as an independent Research Consultant for NASA DEVELOP at the Center for Geospatial Research at UGA. Before coming to United States, she worked as a research scientist at Russian Academy of Sciences, Russia and as a research assistant at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), South Korea.
