Michael (mike) Reid, MD, MPH, is a faculty member at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Institute for Global Health Sciences and a practicing HIV clinician at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. From 2023 to 2026, he served as chief science officer for the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), where he led the program’s scientific agenda and contributed to global health policy on HIV, health systems, and innovation.
