Maryada E. Vallet, DrPH, MPH is an independent consultant and global health researcher specializing in pandemic preparedness, health system resilience, and humanitarian health. She completed her doctoral research at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where her work examined pandemic preparedness for frontline health workers in crisis-affected settings. Most recently, she led USAID’s global level evaluation of its COVID-19 humanitarian response funding (2020–22), spanning 46 countries.
