Lindsay Stark, DrPH, MPH, is a social epidemiologist and professor of public health at the Bursky School of Public Health at Washington University in St. Louis, where she codirects the Center on Violence and Health and directs undergraduate public health education. Her research focuses on violence prevention, mental health, and the well-being of women, children, and families affected by conflict and displacement. Her work has shaped global policy through advisory roles with the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the UN Office for Children and Armed Conflict, and the Lancet Commission on Gender-Based Violence.
