Jaimie Steinmetz is a lead research scientist at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), where she oversees estimates of sensory and neurological disorders for the Global Burden of Disease study. Her background is in biomedical research and public health, and she has work experience in Indonesia, Namibia, and the U.S. nonprofit and government sectors. She has a neuroscience PhD from Stanford University and an MSc from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
