Bungon Ritthiphakdee

Bungon Ritthiphakdee is the executive director of the Global Center for Good Governance in Tobacco Control (GGTC). Bungon started her staunch tobacco control advocacy in Thailand in the 1990s after the United States forced the country to open up its cigarette market. In 2001, she founded the Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance (SEATCA) to enhance tobacco control in the Southeast Asia region. In 2016, she led the Global Center for Good Governance in Tobacco Control (GGTC), aiming to promote policy coherence in tobacco control at all levels. GGTC is a partner in Stopping Tobacco Organizations and Products (STOP). One of the tools GGTC and STOP developed is the Global Tobacco Industry Interference Index.
