Taylor Cusick

Taylor Cusick is a recent graduate of Kansas State University where she studied Lifescience, Anthropology, and Spanish on the pre-medicine track. She is currently applying to medical school with hopes of serving marginalized communities one day. She has served as a volunteer with refugee families in Kansas as a healthcare advocacy intern and continues her volunteer work in this area. She has also spent time in Cusco, Peru and Montego Bay, Jamaica volunteering in clinics that provide communities with access to basic health care. She is currently involved in research in various areas of medicine including COVID-19 and trauma cases, reduction of cataract surgery waste, and access to genetic testing for breast cancer. She hopes to one day use the knowledge she has gained from these experiences to provide high quality care to patients of all backgrounds.
