Sally G. Cowal

Ambassador Sally G. Cowal is the Senior Vice President, Global Cancer Control, at the American Cancer Society. She leads the Society’s efforts to share its experience in effective cancer prevention, cancer treatment and pain relief, patient services, and organizational development for nonprofits. She coordinates advocacy efforts to raise awareness of the global cancer burden and secure adequate funding for cancer prevention and control in low- and middle-income countries. She served as the U.S. Ambassador to Trinidad and Tobago and was the founding Director for External Relations at the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS.
