Nuredin Ali Abdelkadir is a PhD candidate in computer science at the University of Minnesota and a collaborator with the Distributed Artificial Intelligence Research Institute (DAIR). His research addresses the mental health conditions of digital data workers and studies the harms of social media platforms on communities to ensure platform safety, sustainability, and accountability. He applies mixed-methods approaches from computer science to tackle these complex sociotechnical challenges.
