Mitsuru Mukaigawara

Mitsuru Mukaigawara, MD, is a master in public policy student and Belfer International and Global Affairs Student Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School. Prior to Harvard, he worked globally both as an infectious disease doctor and a policymaker, from a remote island in southern Japan to the World Health Organization headquarters. His policy interests include the political and economic consequences of pandemics in resource-limited settings, and the governance and financing of international health organizations. He holds an MD from Tokyo Medical and Dental University.
