Manizha Ashna

Manizha Ashna, MD, MSc, is the co-founder of the Women’s Health and Welfare Organization based in Afghanistan. She is co-leading the nonprofit organization’s advocacy and training projects on promoting the health and welfare of Afghan women and girls. She is also working as a researcher at the Cambridge Reproductive Health Consultants, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving reproductive health and fostering reproductive justice worldwide. She has also worked with the World Health Organization (WHO) on gender mainstreaming in health and emergency settings. Ashna is a Global Goodwill Ambassador working on the Afghan Women’s Physical & Mental Health Advocacy initiative.
