Kirsten Wiens

Kirsten Wiens is a Research Scientist on the Local Burden of Disease project at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington. Her current work is focused on mapping geographic inequalities in infectious diseases and their treatments, with the goal of supporting interventions that target vulnerable populations. She completed her PhD at New York University School of Medicine, where she studied host-pathogen interactions in tuberculosis disease.
