Iqbal Elyazar

Iqbal Elyazar is a biostatistician in the Eijkman-Oxford Clinical Research Unit (EOCRU) at the Eijkman Institute in Jakarta, Indonesia. At EOCRU, Iqbal leads the Geospatial Epidemiology Program. He is also the Indonesia Country Officer for the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME). For nearly two decades, Iqbal has focused on biostatistics, disease surveillance, spatial epidemiology and malaria elimination strategies. He earned a DPhil in Disease Mapping from the Department of Medicine at the University of Oxford and completed an MPH in the Department of Health Informatics at the University of Indonesia. Iqbal held a Wellcome Trust Fellowship of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in 2012.
