Alemnesh H. Mirkuzie

Alemnesh H. Mirkuzie is a senior public health researcher and the coordinator for the National Data Management Center for Health at the Ethiopian Public Health Institute. She is an affiliate assistant professor at the University of Washington and a research associate at the University of Bergen in Norway. She pursued her undergraduate study in Ethiopia and her graduate studies in Sweden and Norway and was awarded with a master's degree in medical sciences, a master of philosophy in public health, and a doctoral degree in international health. She has more than fifteen years of experience in clinical care, academics, and public health research. She is currently collaborating with the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) to improve national and sub-national disease burden estimates for Ethiopia.
