Kevin Ikuta

Kevin Ikuta, MD, MPH, is an infectious diseases physician and public health researcher at UCLA. Dr Ikuta serves as the director of infection prevention and control at the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Hospital where much of his focus is on preventing the spread of antimicrobial resistant pathogens across the hospital system. His clinical expertise is in general infectious diseases and he practices clinically and teaches medical students, residents, and fellows at UCLA and the Los Angeles VA hospital. Dr Ikuta does research with the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington estimating the global burden of infectious diseases with a focus on sepsis and antimicrobial resistance.
