Amish Talwar

Amish Talwar is a U.S.-trained physician and graduate of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Epidemic Intelligence Service training program. Before starting his PhD program at Australian National University, Amish worked at CDC in public health intelligence and participated in the COVID-19 response.

Amish's doctoral research will employ a mixed methods approach to develop a model for predicting likely outbreak reporting outcomes when faced with a new pandemic. This will be an interdisciplinary study that combines public health, health policy, and international law
