Eric A. Friedman

Eric A. Friedman is a global health justice scholar at the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law in the Georgetown University Law Center. Friedman works to advance global health and human rights through right to health initiatives and scholarship. Previously, as senior global health policy advisor at Physicians for Human Rights, he focused on the right to health, health systems and the health workforce, and HIV/AIDS. That followed seven years at Yale, where he received undergraduate and law degrees.


On the Framework Convention on Global Health

The convention offers a human rights-based legal foundation for global health security—which is exactly what we need now
